The Premier League has confirmed the fixture schedule for the 2022/23 season and Chelsea now know when they will be facing their ‘Big Six’ rivals Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Thomas Tuchel will embark on his second full season at Chelsea in August when the new campaign gets up and running and he has learned when his side will face the other 19 top-flight teams home and away after the calendar was revealed.

Chelsea will face Everton on the opening day in August, with Tuchel's Blues heading north for the late kick off on Saturday 6th August.

They won’t have to wait long to play their first 'big six' game of the season with Tottenham Hotspur heading to Stamford Bridge on gameweek two.

Liverpool are first in September, Manchester United are in October before a London derby against Arsenal at the beginning on November.

There is a two month gap as a result of the mid-season World Cup in Qatar which sees Newcastle United be Chelsea's final opponents before their players head off to their international camps to begin preparations for the tournament.

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side will be Chelsea's first opponents of 2023 when they head to the capital on 2 January.

Chelsea's away matches against the 'big six' begins on 21 January when they head to Anfield. A month later they travel across London to face Spurs at the end of February.

It's a big end to the season for the Blues. Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City all come in the final seven games of the 2022/23 calendar. United are up first, before they face Arsenal on 29 April.

Manchester City will be their final big six opponent of the season, and their penultimate one of the campaign, before they welcome Newcastle United to Stamford Bridge to complete the schedule.
