ODDSbibleRacing's Best Bets From Wednesday's Action At Lingfield, Sedgefield and Southwell

One to prove Special at Lingfield.

We had a decent day yesterday with four winners, five seconds and two thirds. Let's hope for some more winners on Wednesday.

Racing takes place over the jumps at Sedgefield with in a bizarre piece of scheduling, three All-Weather meetings taking place at Lingfield and Southwell in the afternoon and Kempton in the evening.

Here are Danny Archer's selections for today...

One to prove Special at Lingfield

2:20: Lingfield - Bishops Cannings Evens NAP.

Ryan Moore is back in the country and takes the ride on this three-year-old daughter of Cape Blanco. Placed in all three of his career starts at Lingfield, this filly was third in what looked a decent maiden contest for the grade over course and distance last time. Elsworth is one of the shrewdest trainers around and given she is now eligible for handicaps, it's interesting that the Newmarket handler has another go at trying to win a maiden here. She looks to have a very good chance of finally getting off the mark.

2:50: Lingfield - The Special One 3/1.

Adam Kirby takes the ride on Ali Stronge's daughter of Cape Cross who ran with credit when finishing a close third at Chelmsford over a mile last time. Adam Kirby rides today and he looks sure to go close to gaining her first victory.

3:20: Lingfield - Wonder Of Dubai 7/1 Each Way.

Formerly trained by Jamie Osborne, this well-bred colt is a son of the top-class So You Think but failed to pull up any trees when a never involved eighth on his racecourse debut at Chelmsford in November. Interestingly switched to Michael Bell now, he has his horses in very good form, operating a 33% strike-rate in the last 14 days. It would be no surprise if he were to figure here in what looks a pretty weak maiden with Adam Kirby aboard the three-year-old.

4:20: Lingfield - Topmeup 3/1.

Beepeecee looks a solid favourite for this event but a 10lb rise might be enough to stop him and I'm therefore willing to take a chance on David Evans' Topmeup. Third on both outings for Evans over a mile at Southwell, the return to seven furlongs should suit and can go close here.

5:25: Lingfield - Moayadd 6/4.

Hollie Doyle has struck up an excellent rapport with this five-year-old gelded son of Street Cry who made it three wins from his last three starts with an authoritative victory at Kempton last time. He looks sure to go well again.

Poet to hit right verse at Sedgefield

2:40: Sedgefield - Little Miss Poet 5/4 NB.

Richard Johnson heads to Sedgefield for one ride at Sedgefield. For his boss Philip Hobbs, a rare visitor to Sedgefield, they team up with Little Miss Poet who should take some stopping in this two-mile event. Beaten at odds of 1/10 at Exeter last time, the five-year-old had previously run at Market Rasen they team up with Little Miss Poet who should take some stopping in this two-mile event. Beaten at odds of 1/10 at Exeter last time, the five-year-old had previously won at Market Rasen and should really take a lot of beating in this event.

3:10: Sedgefield - Jac The Legend 11/2 Each Way.

Has not been in sparkling form and was particularly disappointing over hurdles last time out. However, this lad is very good on his day and has an excellent conditional riding him.

3:40: Sedgefield - Crackdeloust 9/4.

Beaten by today's rival Mr Clarkson at this track last time where he probably wasn't helped by the final flight being omitted that day. That race was over two miles and he should appreciate this stiffer test of stamina over two miles and three furlongs and is taken to reverse the placings under Danny Cook, who is operating a 30% strike-rate in the last two weeks.

4:45: Sedgefield - Bordeaux Bill 4/6.

Short-price but he ought to be after impressively landing a bumper over course and distance in January. He has a penalty for today's race but he could well be capable of defying it.

Commons gets the vote on Brexit Day

3:00: Southwell - House Of Commons 2/1.

Michael Appleby has a formidable record at this track and with Silvestre De Sousa aboard this gelded son of Sea The Stars, he is taken to follow up his comfortable win over course and distance in January. He looks a horse who enjoys the fibresand and that is always important at Southwell. He should take a lot of beating.

6/1 Win Treble

2:20: Lingfield - Bishops Cannings evs

2:40: Sedgefield - Little Miss Poet 11/10

4:45: Sedgefield - Bordeaux Bill 4/6

97/1 Lucky 15

2:50: Lingfield - The Special One 3/1

3:00: Southwell - House Of Commons 2/1

3:40: Sedgefield - Crackdeloust 9/4

5:25: Lingfield - Moayadd 6/4

** NEW ADDITIONS **

4:55: Lingfield - Menelik 10/3.

Des Donovan's charge was impressive when quickening up in taking fashion to beat his rivals convincingly at Chelmsford last time. There could be more to come from him.

8:25: Kempton - Escalating 3/1.

Silvestre De Sousa makes the trip from Southwell to Kempton to ride this five-year-old who has been in decent form at Southwell. He has won at this track and looks to hold decent claims here
