Wednesday.

We had another cracking day yesterday with plenty of winners and we're looking to secure more profit on Wednesday. Ascot's card which includes the G3 Sagaro Stakes rightly takes centre stage and we have done race-by-race selections for that meeting.

However, the other meetings which take place across Britain are Brighton's evening flat meeting, Pontefract's afternoon flat meeting, Wolverhampton's All Weather afternoon card and evening racing on the flat at Yarmouth.

Here are Danny Archer's selections...

Cards look stacked in Sharp's favour at Brighton

5:05: Brighton - Cardsharp 6/4.

Well-backed this morning, that makes Mark Johnston's charge has travelled an awful long way for this race of strong interest A son of Lonhro he is related to winners primarily over six, seven furlong and one mile suggesting this trip might be on the short side but he has the services of the stable jockey Joe Fanning and cane make a winning debut.

8:05: Brighton - Virile 7/4.

Always good to have course and distance form on the south coast and this six-year-old son of Exceed and Excel has won at the track and also finished third here last week. Dropping down to five furlongs should suit and he looks tough to beat in a very poor race.

Get your hands on some Mittens at Pontefract

4:00: Pontefract - Mittens 6/5 NAP.

Sir Michael Stoute wrote and published the book on how to improve horses from maidens to handicapping and this daughter of New Approach should be able to fend off a rating of 79 for her handicap debut here. Ridden by Pat Sniper Smullen to success at Lingfield in October, she stayed on well the day to score by a cosy half-length.

She does take a sizeable step up in distance to 10 furlongs here but she is related to horses who have won over longer and in my opinion, she looks tough to beat. The her breeding suggests this should be her type of trip merely reiterates what a magnificent performance it was from the filly to win over a shorter distance. She could be very good.

4:35: Pontefract - Mr Orange 11/1 Each Way.

Course and distance winner who has also been a bridesmaid plenty of times. He'll improve for his comeback run at Catterick and he looks capable of running well off a mark of 69.

The Big Short to provide financial impetus at Wolves

1:20: Wolverhampton - The Big Short 11/4.

Charlie Hills' charge ran well on his comeback run at Nottingham as he looked like he needed the run on that occasion. He previously led throughout over six furlongs at Kempton and the shorter trip looks good for him.

Moore looks man on a Solo Mission at Yarmouth

5:50: Yarmouth - Solo Mission 4/5.

Ryan Moore comes to Yarmouth instead of riding at Ascot and for me that's telling. This gelded son of Sea The Stars has by far the most attractive profile in breeding and should really step up on some pretty poor runs in maiden now in handicap company here.

6:50: Yarmouth - Commodity 4/6 Next Best.

Landed the spoils with a bit in hand at Windsor last time and a 2lb rise seems pretty lenient. He looks tough to beat and I really fancy him to follow up.

8:20: Yarmouth - Compas Scoobie 6/5.

Did the business for us nicely at Wolverhampton on Saturday and turned out quickly back on turf, he looks sure to go close again.

Win Treble

1:50: Wolverhampton - Pleasant Surprise 4/5.

Third at Beverley on debut and he sets the form standard on that for a trainer whose horses usually improve for a run.

2:50: Pontefract - Hold Sway 4/6.

Godolphin's maiden horses are in stellar form and this Dubawi colt really on breeding should have got his head in front by now. Third at Doncaster last time, this looks the ideal opportunity to finally score
