ODDSbibleRacing's Best Bets From Wednesday's Action At Ayr, Yarmouth And More

We've been in superb form the last few days with the NAP landing once again for the sixth successive time and the win double also returning a healthy profit for the second day running.

There's plenty of racing to get stuck into on Wednesday with flat racing taking place at Ayr and Yarmouth and Lingfield with All-Weather racing at Kempton this meeting as well as a jumps meeting at Southwell in the evening. Wexford in Ireland stages an evening jumps meeting.

Here are Danny Archer's selections...

Nez to be the Best at Yarmouth

3: 50: Ayr - Straightothepoint 3/1.

Bryan Smart's five-year-old charge has finished an excellent runner up on both his first two starts this season. Unlucky at Ripon on both occasions this term, he has been pegged back late on and is entitled to get his head back in front off the same rating.

5:20: Ayr - Nezwaah 8/11 NAP.

Roger Varian has enjoyed a couple of notable forays up north in recent times with the yard operating at a phenomenal 26% strike-rate in the last 14 days. Second to the top-class So Mi Dar in a Listed event at Yarmouth in September, the four-year-old daughter of Dubawi then finished a close-up seventh in Grade One E.P. Taylor Stakes at Woodbine in Canada in October. A relatively late-comer to racing, she won on her first start and hopefully she shouldn't be too fresh and will be fine-tuned for this event. She looks tough to beat with this being Atzeni's only ride of the day.

5:55: Ayr - Lucent Dream 3/1.

Had a cracking time of things on the All-Weather earlier this season and reverting back to turf for an Irish trainer who is a very shrewd operator, it would be disappointing if he couldn't go close over a trip he seems to enjoy. He also has a talented 5lb claimer which should is also a massive benefit in a race of this nature.

Olympic to Duel for Gold at Kempton

6:40: Kempton - Margherita 10/11.

Roger Varian's charge was third in what turned out to a decent race at Wolverhampton last time with the second that day subsequently getting his head in front. With normal improvement expected, he looks tough to beat.

7:40: Kempton - Wadigor 7/4.

Roger Varian's charge was seriously impressive on his latest start in October when he absolutely hosed up by seven lengths. That race had plenty of strength in depth and whilst he has been raised a massive 15lb for that victory, he enters the could be anything category.

8:10: Kempton - Commodity 9/2 Each Way (1/4).

Good money for one of his rivals this morning (North Creek) but I've been taken with the way this son of Dutch Art has gone about his business in two starts this season. He hasn't won by far but he has consistently got the job done and whilst he was very game to win last time at Yarmouth he is therefore raised only 1lb and there looks to be room for manoeuvre in that mark. He does have a wide draw here and didn't run very well at the track in October, but he remains open to potential.

8:40: Kempton - Olympic Duel 9/2.

Very well punted this morning which is seriously interesting given he has run just once on the All Weather at Kempton in April and he flew in by two and a half-lengths. Peter Hiatt is a canny trainer capable of readying a sort and he looks of strong interest here back on this surface.

I'm holding out for a Humble Hero at Lingfield

2:10: Lingfield - Humble Hero 6/4.

William Haggas' charge retains an entry in the Derby and represents powerful connections. Second to a very talented sort on his debut at Haydock in April, he ran an absolute cracker that day as he missed the break before making up strong headway in the final furlong. He looks a worthy favourite with this trip seeming to suit.

3:40: Lingfield - Sir Pass I Am evens.

Andrew Balding's charge would have won by a very long way if Oisin Murphy hadn't decided to ease him right up at Chepstow last time. He looks to be well ahead of the handicapper based on that evidence and whilst he has been raised 11lb, he might be capable of defying his new mark.

4:10: Lingfield - Powerful Wind 11/2 Each Way.

An unbelievably speedy sort, he was given a shocking ride at Chepstow last time where he went off far too quick and was never going to last home. If a top jockey like Robert Winston can just restrain him a little better today, a mark of 63 is 7lb below his last winning mark. He looks cracking each way value as Lingfield's straight 5 furlongs and the god ground should play to his strengths.

Bertie to wave goodbye to his rivals at Southwell

8:50: Southwell - Hello Bertie 13/8.

Malcolm Jefferson is not a man who runs many horses at this time of year, particularly his bumper performers and with that in mind, this five-year-old son of Kayf Tara is taken to improve on his cracking third-placed effort at Perth last time. He was staying on well that day under a patient ride and just got outpaced at a crucial stage. If he can keep pace with the gallop here, I fancy him to do the business.

Secrets to show his hand at Wexford

6:00: Wexford - No Secrets Here 5/2.

Sean Thomas Doyle's charge was sixth in a better race than this at Killarney last month. The money has come for him this morning and it would be disappointing if he couldn't get his head in front.

Cartographer to map out grand plan at Yarmouth

2:00: Yarmouth - Cartographer 8/11.

Ran a belter at the back-end of last time to finish second to a decent sort from the Owen Burrows yard when finishing a narrow head second. He was flying late on there and whilst Yarmouth is a place which horses benefit from running at, he looked street-wise enough on that occasion to go one better here.

3:30: Yarmouth - In Ken's Memory 6/4.

Michael Appleby and SDS have been potent this year and they can improve their remarkable run of form with this four-year-old daughter of Sakhee who can follow up her victory at Brighton last week. Given that she handled Brighton, that's a real positive that she should handle this track.

4:30: Yarmouth- Realize 5/2.

Has his first run for a new yard here having finished fourth at this track earlier this month. Spencer is on board which is an interesting jockey booking and whilst it is a worry that he has won just once from 17 starts on turf, he is by far the classiest horse in the race judged on his All-Weather form and he might just win this.

5:00: Yarmouth - Moi Aussie 6/4.

Did the business very nicely over course and distance last week and in another race lacking real substance, he is entitled to defy a 6lb rise with SDS in the plate again.
