Confirmed Manchester United line-up to face Real Sociedad in Europa League clash

Erik ten Hag has named his Manchester United line-up to face Real Sociedad in their final Europa League group fixture this season.

The Reds have progressed into the knockouts following their last win against FC Sheriff.

However, in order to top the group, United will need to win this encounter by at least two goals.

The Spanish side came out on top last time out against Ten Hag's men.

A controversial penalty goal was the difference between the two, yet, the Reds have impressed in their games since then.

They have lost just once, against Manchester City, since that defeat and will be eager to top the group in order to miss out on the round of 32 fixtures.

"It's six weeks ago or so [since losing vs Sociedad] and it's a different team, not all the players then are fit," Ten Hag said.

"We're growing, developing, making good progress. We know it's difficult to win games here but we like the challenge.

"I think their coach likes poetic football, they want to play and I think they will stick to that. If it's a different approach we will adapt but we know what to do.

"I don't think you speak about how far you come. You can't win anything at this moment, it's game by game and we have to win every game."

Alejandro Garnacho has been awarded his second start of the season after impressing against FC Sheriff last time out.

He is joined by Donny van de Beek in the attack, with the Dutchman making his first start of the campaign.

Alongside them, making the front four, is Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes.

Victor Lindelöf returns to the defence after illness kept him out of the side that beat West Ham in the Premier League.
