The beef between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal has exploded in an alleged altercation outside of a Miami Beach restaurant.
The pair met in the Octagon earlier this month at UFC 272, which saw Covington score an unanimous decision victory over Masvidal.
This obviously didn't sit well Masvidal as he allegedly tracked down his opponent on Monday (March 21) night to confront him while he was having dinner, according to a Miami Beach police report.
According to ESPN, Masvidal has been charged with felony battery, however, the victim's name has not been revealed in the police report.
The unnamed victim told police that Masvidal had run up and sucker-punched him twice, one punch in the mouth and the other to his left eye.
The report says that Masvidal had been wearing a blue surgical mask and a hoodie, however, was identifiable because of his curly hair and voice.
The person was said to have been the victim of a fractured left tooth and an abrasion on the left wrist.
Masvidal posted a video on Twitter, where he stated: "Calling this the show-your-face challenge, you know?
"What's up? I'm from Dade County. You talk that s**t, you gotta back it up. That's how my city rolls, man."
The victim also said that Masvidal came with a statement saying: "You shouldn't have been talking about my kids."
The current #7 ranked Welterweight in the UFC rankings then also repeated that sentiment on Twitter.
Masvidal tweeted: "Good morning to everyone except those that think talking about someone's kids is cool."
Video of the scene shows police outside Papi Steak in Miami, with Covington caught on camera saying: "He's over here swinging, trying to come at me, and I ran. ... How would he know I'm here?"
However, earlier that night Buffalo Wild Wings host, Bob Menery had posted a video of himself and Covington to his Instagram story that revealed the group's location.
Menery would later tweet: "All i can say is I'm extremely disappointed in @GamebredFighter as a professional fighter tonight. You let down alot of people tonight bro. Disappointed."
Covington and Masvidal had been former friends and teammates at American Top Team but the relationship came to a head following an altercation at the gym.
Masvidal's defeat against Covington at UFC 272 marked his third straight defeat.
