Whilst the uncertainty surrounding Britain's political future remains, we're going to try and back some winners on a Friday filled with racing. Flat racing takes place at Brighton, Carlisle, Goodwood (evening) and Haydock (evening). Wolverhampton stages an All-Weather meeting, Stratford hosts an evening jumps meeting and Clonmel hosts an evening jump card in Ireland.
Here are Danny Archer's selections...
Dew to Melt rivals at Carlisle
Advert
3:40: Carlisle - Partitia 2/1. The Sir Michael Stoute-trained filly has been sent a long way from her Newmarket base and she had a very troubled passage at Chester last time where she was held up and struggled to find room in the home straight. She's better than that and I fancy her to go close despite a slight worry about the ground.
4:10: Carlisle - Silva Eclipse 10/3. Jedd O'Keeffe's charge is a former course and distance winner who was a creditable fourth at York last time. He can improve on that run here.
4:40: Carlisle - Melting Dew NAP 7/4. Sir Michael Stoute's charge stayed on powerfully to land the spoils at Chelmsford and whilst he was only fifth on his only other start on turf, I fancy him to keep improving.
Smitten with Mittens at Goodwood
Advert
8:15: Goodwood - Mittens 9/4. Travelled like the winner last time but just didn't seem to see the trip out well enough. Hopefully, she can actually get the trip today as I think she has a touch of class.
8:50: Goodwood - Bombay Dream 4/1. William Haggas is a very shrewd trainer and this daughter of Sepoy was a creditable third last time in a maiden. Switching to handicap company, she looks to be off a workable mark of 66.
Nothing slow about Bal at Stratford
7:50: Stratford - Balnaslow 5/2. Graham McKeever's charge has run brilliantly in a host of hunter chases this year and whilst his stamina is a slight issue, he has a touch of class and has the services of a top-class amateur.

Red Clubs to play trump card at Wolverhampton
3:30: Wolverhampton - Mr Red Clubs 5/2. Looks to have found his grade in claiming company and with a handy 7lb claimer in the plate, he should relish the return to course and distance.
4:00: Wolverhampton - Lugano 5/4. Gamely landed a handicap at Newcastle in October 2016 and whilst he has an absence to overcome, he is in the care of a top-class handler who should have him spot on for this.
4:30: Wolverhampton - Simply Me 13/8. Racked up four wins earlier this term and the return to this track and seven furlongs are major positives.
Advert
5:00: Wolverhampton - Tadween 8/11. Fine second at Newmarket last time looks the best form on offer and he should win this.
