Manchester United and Chelsea have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Yannick Carrasco, with the forward reportedly falling out with Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone.

The 23-year-old has scored 10 goals in his last 26 appearances and unsurprisingly this form has attracted strong interest from the Premier League.

Reports last weekend suggested that Manchester United and Chelsea are among the clubs showing an interest in bringing the Belgian international over to England, with both willing to meet the £86m buyout clause.

The Premier League rivals look to have now been handed a major boost in their pursuit, with reports coming from Spain that Carrasco's relationship with boss Diego Simeone has broken down.

If true, it looks unlikely that the attacker will remain at the Vicente Calderon but reports suggest that any potential move for Carrasco will have to wait until the summer with little time left to do a big-money deal before the January window slams shut.

Chelsea are in action tonight, in what should be a cracking showdown against fellow title challengers Liverpool. The Blues are favourites with BetVictor at 13/8, whilst you can back Liverpool with the same bookie at 19/10. The draw is 9/4.
