Heavy defeat for Ireland against Belgium on Saturday may have felt like the end of their European adventure, but poor results for all three sides in 3rd position after Matchday 2 has given the Green Army a glimmer of hope that they must snatch with both hands.

Italy, however, have been one of the sides I've been most impressed with at the Euros so far. Their tactful and meticulous dismantling of Belgium in the opening game was followed by a dominant display against Sweden in which Ibrahimovic and co were limited to just four shots.

They've successfully managed to quash the talk of being 'the worst Italian side for 50 years' and has made the rest of Europe sit up and take note.

Ireland were also very impressive in their opening game and it can be said that they were incredibly unlucky not to come away with all three points - with the only positive thing Ibrahimovic did in the entire game resulting in an own goal.

They will need to improve on their performance against the Red Devils though, and I expect them to do just that with their Euro 2016 status on the line - especially if Italy rest players for their huge last 16 tie with Spain.

Therefore, I recommend backing Ireland Win or Draw Double Chance at 4/7 and Over 1.5 Goals at 8/13. Interestingly, a double on those selections also pays around 6/4.
