Meet Perry Baker, One Of The Fastest Rugby Players In The World
This is Perry Baker. The USA speedster who made a massive impact on his debut at the Gold Coast Sevens tournament.
Now, he has established himself as one of the best Rugby Seven players in the world, winning the 2017 World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year award among plenty of other accomplishments in his established career.
Back in 2015, Baker's career took a knock when he kicked a fan in the stomach when a member of the audience ran onto the pitch in the middle of the game and tackled the American player to the ground.
If you didn't see that incident, here it is:
Anyway, enough about the past. Perry scored this incredible try against New Zealand at the Dubai Sevens a couple of years back and continues to produce such magic on a regular basis.
The current 'fastest man' in Rugby is said to be 28-year-old Carlin Isles, the flying wing with a personal best of 10.24secs for the 100 metres.
But this guy may just beat his record. Just check out this spectacular try when USA beat Australia for a place in the cup semi-finals back in 2015. Just wow.
What a player. Who thinks they could stop him?
