The toe wrestling GOAT is officially retiring.

That's right, seventeen-time world champion toe wrestler Alan "Nasty" Nash has announced his plansa to finally call time on his legendary career.

"It's a sport that anybody can go for. You haven't got to train all your life for it," he told the BBC.

"I'm not as strong now. I'm not as fit.

"I'll have to retire this year I think. 63 [years of age], you just can't keep going forever can you? I mean, you don't get snooker players that old do you?"

The sport of toe wrestling was born in 1976 and Nash has gone on to compete all around the world.

"I've done it in Italy, American, Germany," he added.

Nash has also opened up on the injuries he has sustained from the sport, including breaking four toes during a semi-final clash.

"I actually walked off the stage, snapped my toes back as straight as I could, and put them into a bucket of ice. I kept the swelling down and went back in for the finals, and I won the finals," he told CBC back in 2017.

"The trouble with it was a few months I realised one of the toes hadn't gone back right, and I had to go in the hospital, and had to get the toe taken off and put back on again. So I didn't compete the year after."

From NRL to AFL, cricket to rugby — you name it, Max watches it (with a beer in hand, of course). During his time at Fox Sports, he worked in the football department covering the Premier League, A-League, Socceroos and Matildas. Born a stone's throw away from West Ham's training ground, Max is obviously a die-hard Liverpool fan.
