Jewish protestors wear 'fight anti-semitism' shirts while sitting courtside at Kyrie Irving game

Protestors were seen sitting courtside during a recent Brooklyn Nets game and they had a strong message for Kyrie Irving.

The group of seven Orthodox Jews wore “FIGHT ANTISEMITISM” t-shirts, clearly in response to Irving's recent off-court controversy.

Earlier this week, Irving made headlines after he shared a link to a film titled 'Hebrews to Ne***es: Wake Up Black America'.

Irving was slammed for the 'promotion' of the film and drew particular criticism from Nets owner Joe Tsai, who described the movie as “full of anti-Semitic information”.

Now a group of protestors have made their feelings on the matter know, donning their shirts while sitting courtside, within clear eyesight of Irving himself as well as the television cameras broadcasting the game to millions over the world.

Various screenshots and footage flooded social media and people seemed quick to praise the group.

Meanwhile, in one clip posted online, Irving could be seen approaching the Jewish protestors and telling them he was “grateful for you”.

But one of the protestors Aaron Jungreis wasn't having it.

“I was expecting that. Look at who you’re dealing with. But [the shirt] was really not for him. It was really for the Nets. They should not keep a guy like that around,” Jungreis told The Post.

Asked if he’d cancel his season tickets, he replied: “Oh, definitely. A lot of people are going to cancel, a lot of people.

“I think they have to discipline him in some way, and make it sincere for him hopefully, if it’s not sincere, I guess that’s the second best thing.”

The Nets made the decision not to make Irving available to the media after the game.

Instead, Brooklyn coach Steve Nash - who has since been sacked from his role - spoke on the matter.

“That’s an ongoing conversation,” Nash told the press.

“I haven’t been a part of those internal talks, to be honest; I’ve been coaching, preparing the team. But I know they’re looking at that constantly.”

Irving finished the game against the Indiana Pacers with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
