Dana White was left stunned by a reporter’s question during the UFC press conference.

On Saturday, a host of reporters gathered at an event in St. Louis, Missouri as the UFC CEO answered questions from journalists.

One female reporter then asked White to set up a meeting between her and Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, who was knocked out by UFC superstar Conor McGregor back in January 2020.

She began: “I've got one little challenge for ‘Cowboy’ myself. If you notice this BMF brand on the top of my hat. Got that custom Branding Iron and I said I was going to let him brand me but now I just want to let him do it.

“So, what do you think about that? Can we make that happen?”

White, left stunned, said: “Did you say brand you? Brand you? You and ‘Cowboy’ were made for each other. You’re nuts!

“Can I make it happen? There’s no way in hell I’d make that happen. You’re crazy!”

He added: “You look like a really sweet lady, the last thing you need to do is get branded.”

Reacting to the interaction, MMA reporter Ariel Helwani wrote on social media: “This is what the UFC wants at their ‘press conferences’. Make no mistake about it. The sport has come so far. It has evolved so much. The UFC is on fire. The athletes are more talented than ever.

“The ‘media’, however, has gone backwards. Embarrassing.”

White also hinted at making changes to the schedule. he said: “We already have those dates set up right now where Power Slap goes Friday and UFC goes Saturday. You’re going to see Friday, Power Slap, Saturday, UFC, and Sunday, WWE. You’ll start seeing that stuff too.”

White also spoke about the potential return of McGregor during the press event held in the US.
