Colby Covington has biggest meltdown in UFC history after losing to Leon Edwards, makes series of disgusting claims

Colby Covington doubled down on his claim about Leon Edwards' late father.

Colby Covington has doubled down on his abuse at Leon Edwards' late father as he suffers a huge meltdown following his crushing defeat last weekend.

Edwards dominated Covington at UFC 296 as he made a successful defence of his UFC welterweight title.

After the Las Vegas showdown, the Donald Trump-supporting fighter blamed his loss on biased judging, claiming political prejudice.

He has once again claimed the judges awarded the fight to Edwards because he's a public supporter of Trump.

Asked if being a Trump fan cost him a victory against the UFC welterweight king, he replied: "I do believe that.

"I think they stacked the deck against us because they don't want, we the people to have control of this country again and that's what Trump stands for - he stands for democracy, he stands for freedom. So, they're going to do everything they can to keep us down."

In another interview, Covington also inexplicably compared Edwards' late father to Adolf Hitler, having made a sick taunt at the pre-fight press conference.

"Just like Hitler, he was a terrible person," he said on the PBD Podcast. "I'm not comparing him to Hitler, but I'm saying it's that same level of bad guy."

Covington's defeat to Edwards means he has now lost three championship contents in the UFC, having lost twice to Kamaru Usman in title fights.

Speaking after the fight, Dana White criticised the 35-year-old's showing and said he looked 'slow' against the British star.

“My take on it is when you’re 35 years old or any age in this sport and you’re like, 'Yeah, I’m going to wait,' waiting is never a good idea in this sport. This sport doesn’t wait for anybody," he said during his post-fight press conference.

“He looked slow tonight. He got out-wrestled. Leon looked good, Leon looked fast. Looked like [Colby] had trouble dealing with his speed and then getting out-wrestled too. Not to mention Leon absolutely destroyed that leg too.”
