Punter misses out on huge payday after losing ONE bet in 14-fold UFC 285 accumulator, it was the lowest odds

"Golden rule: never take under 1.15." A punter’s £3 accumulator could have seen a £3,400 return if one fight from UFC 285 went their way.

A punter has revealed that they missed out on a hefty £3,400 payday after losing the bet with the lowest odds in their 14-fold UFC 285 accumulator.

TikTok user 3dom420 shared their bet slip featuring £3 placed on the Bet365 accumulator, with all 14 fights from the UFC 285 card in Las Vegas featured.

The punter correctly predicted all of the results from the early preliminary card and preliminary card, but their bet fell through with one result from the main card.

The TikTok user correctly predicted the likes of Bo Nickal, Mateusz Gamrot and Shavkat Rakhmonov to win their respective fights on Saturday.

And the punter also backed Jon Jones, who made his debut at heavyweight, to beat Ciryl Gane for the vacant UFC heavyweight championship.

But the accumulator fell apart after backing Valentina Shevchenko, who suffered a stunning upset at the hands of Alexa Grasso in their women’s flyweight title fight.

To make things worse, the punter’s bet on former flyweight champ Shevchenko was the lowest odds in the accumulator after coming in at only 1.11 returns.

Someone else commented: “UFC accas, man, there’s always the one.”

“Same happened to me,” a third TikTok user added.

And a fourth wrote: “On a 1.11 as well, it happens all the time.”

While one TikToker posted: “Coulda, woulda, shoulda, there’s always one on an acca like that.”
