Iceland Firm Offer England Players Incentive

A holiday company has quite the proposal to cheer up England's players should they lose to Iceland on Monday, with a free whale-watching trip on the cards for the Three Lions.

Iceland have been one of the surprise packages of Euro 2016, qualifying for the knockout stages with a dramatic late winner against Austria on Wednesday. Going into the big game with England on Monday, they are filled with confidence.

An Icelandic holiday firm share that confidence and have offered the incentive to Roy Hodgson and his troops "as a bandage for wounded pride, after the loss against Iceland this coming Monday"

North Sailing's manager Gudbjartur Jonsson has set aside 23 free tickets for the England squad dated Tuesday 28 July and says the offer is a polite gesture.

Speaking to the Guardian, he said:

It is only polite and a part of the Icelandic hospitality culture to offer the free tickets.

If England do crash out of the Euro's, at least they can watch some Wales knock about for free. Something tells me they won't be taking advantage of the kind offer, though.
