Zinedine Zidane 'expected to receive mega contact offer' to return to football management

Zinedine Zidane has received a tempting offer to return to football management only two years after his departure from Real Madrid, according to stunning reports.

Zidane began his coaching career with Real Madrid Castilla before he was promoted to the senior team in 2016 after the sacking of Rafa Benitez.

The former Madrid manager enjoyed incredible success in his first spell after leading the club to three consecutive Champions League trophies and a La Liga title.

Zidane left Madrid in 2018 before returning in 2019 after the sacking of Santiago Solari, with the Frenchman leading the Spanish club to another La Liga title.

The 50-year-old, who exited Madrid for the second time in 2021, was previously linked with the France head coach role before Didier Deschamps signed a new deal.

However, Zidane has been linked with defending Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks amid growing pressure on manager Christophe Galtier.

Spanish outlet Fichajes (as per Football Espana) is now reporting that Chelsea are ‘weighing up an approach’ for the former Los Blancos head coach.

It is believed that Chelsea would be prepared to offer ‘Zizou’ a mammoth €15m-per-season salary if he replaced Potter as Blues head coach.

Zidane, whose been linked with Manchester United and Juventus in the past, hinted that a return to coaching could happen sooner than some would expect.

“Do I miss the coach’s suit? No, I’m not far away, we wait, we wait a little bit,” he told RMC Sport in October 2022.

“Soon, soon. I’m not far from coaching again.”
