Adidas are re-releasing one of Zinedine Zidane's most iconic boots ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

Zidane's final ever tournament was the 2006 showpiece when he captained France to the final, where his career ended up in disgrace after he was sent off for headbutting Italy defender Marco Materazzi.

The picture of him walking past the World Cup trophy, not long after he had produce a gorgeous Panenka penalty past Gianluigi Buffon, will forever remain a classic.

But so too will the cleats he wore throughout the tournament. 'Zizou' wore one of Adidas' best ever designs, the metallic gold Predator Absolute.

Adidas have regularly brought back their classic boots over the years, sometimes putting a new twist on them.

The white, gold and black Predator Absolute boots made a return two years back and now there's huge hype for the gold and white beauties, which feature that beautiful elastic tongue that everyone fell in love with.

Footy Headlines have published images of the boots, which will be part of a 'ZZ' pack being released prior to the big event getting under way next month.

Some of the features include premium K-leather upper, a modern sole plate and a rubber strike zone.

They won't come on the cheap, however, as it's rumoured that the boots will set customers back $350. They are slated to be be available worldwide from 10 November, just in time for some of the world-class Adidas athletes to sport them in football's biggest showpiece.

Being honest, we reckon it's only right that Zidane and David Beckham get called up by France and England respectively so they can run it back.
