Manchester United In Alleged Shock Move For Liverpool Midfielder Joe Allen

Forget Swansea City, as Manchester United are lining up an offer for Liverpool's Joe Allen. Yes, Joe. Joe Allen.

Allen performed heroics for Wales during the Euro's, and it's believed that Jose Mourinho is monitoring his situation, well, that's according to the South Wales Evening Post.

The 26-year-old's future at Anfield remains unclear with 12 months left on his existing contract as he continues to be linked with a return to Swansea, while Jurgen Klopp appears to be prepared to let him go.

Though his former side are favourites to acquire his services where he previously enjoyed a six-year-spell amassing 150 appearances.

With reports emerging that Mourinho is set to offload midfielders Bastian Schweinsteiger, Juan Mata and Daley Blind it could free up a move for the 'Welsh Xavi.'

Seriously, if this transfers comes to fruition it would be an absolute shock of a story, but, hey, who would of ever thought Wales could of made it to the semi's of the Euro's.
