If you were hoping to tune in and see Marco Asensio, our favourite player here at SPORTbible, do his thing against APOEL Nicosia at the Bernabeu tonight, unfortunately we have to bring you some bad news.
The 21-year old sensation has been ruled out of the opening game in Group H and if you can think of the most bizarre reason possible and times it by 100, then you have the explanation for Asensio's absence.

Asensio, who has continued where he left off last season by scoring four goals in his first six club appearances, missed training early this week and Zinedine Zidane has confirmed he isn't in contention because of a "pimple... which stopped him pulling up his socks," he is quoted as saying by ESPN.

Madrid-based outlet ABC Have followed up by reporting that the RCD Mallorca youth product suffered the pimple as a result of shaving his legs - which must be the secret behind his sublime run of form and the reason he is able to score so many belting goals with that trusty left peg.
In better news for Real, Cristiano Ronaldo is eligible for selection after a month without playing competitive football, while Raphael Varane has also returned from an adductor injury.
