Barcelona players clearly don't want all the spotlight to go on Real Madrid with Zinedine Zidane leaving and they want their team to make a very big transfer ahead of next season.
All the news in the last 24 hours or so has been about Zinedine Zidane deciding to quit Real Madrid out of the blue, less than a week after winning the Champions League for a third year running.
Because of Real's incredible achievement it's been forgotten by a lot of people that they struggled throughout the season when it came to La Liga and only finished third.
Meanwhile Barca had the opposite season nearly going the La Liga campaign unbeaten, if it wasn't for their penultimate match, but going out of the quarter finals of the Champions League.

Former midfielder Xavi tore into the club's transfer policy and his ex partner in midfield Andres Iniesta has left the club so there's some big shoes to fill.
Philippe Coutinho was initially brought in to fill them but now Barca players want him to play further up the pitch.
According to SPORT a group of senior Barca players have gone to club president Josep Maria Bartomeu to ask him to sign Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich.
The 27 year old obviously came from Barca's academy and made it into the first team in 2009 but left for Bayern in 2013 when Pep Guardiola made his way to Germany.

Thiago, whose brother Rafinha still plays for Barcelona, was originally the man who was expected to take Iniesta's place in the team eventually before moving.
It's quite good timing for Barcelona trying to sign the central midfielder. According to reports the Bundesliga champions are willing to listen to offers for him, as well as several other players.
Barcelona are expected to sign Antoine Griezmann which could cast doubts over if there's room for Coutinho to play in a more advanced role.

However Luis Suarez will turn 32 next season and, despite only joining the Catalan giants last summer, there is rumours that both PSG and Borussia Dortmund are interested in Ousmane Dembele.
