Another transfer window means one thing, another round of Arsenal being linked to players that might be able to replace the inevitable losses of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil. Will Julian Draxler be that man?

For what has seemed around 18 months there has been talks that Alexis Sanchez and/or Mesut Ozil could be leaving the Emirates and so Arsenal have had their eyes on replacements, now it seems for sure that they will leave.

We've known for ages that Sanchez and Ozil's contracts are up in the summer of 2018. At first there was optimism that they would stay, followed by pessimism which has now turned into realism.

Sanchez was on the verge of leaving in the summer but he stayed put in the end but he could leave in January, whilst Ozil will wait to the summer to head for the door.

Arsene Wenger has twice wanted to and twice failed to sign Julian Draxler and it's highly likely that he could once again try to sign the World Cup winner.

According to the Mirror PSG want £40 million for the winger who has recently been playing in central midfield for the French league leaders.

What could also work in the Gunners favour is the Parisians interest in Sanchez. The Chilean forward reportedly prefers a move to Manchester City but Pep Guardiola's side are waiting for the summer.

PSG would be willing to spend money on the former Barca forward but it very much would depend if Arsenal feel it's worth selling him and if he would want to go sooner to his second choice.

Draxler won the Confederations Cup player of the tournament last summer but PSG signing of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe pushed him well down the pecking order in the attacking positions.

Arsene Wenger wanted to sign the 24 year old when he left Schalke for Wolfsburg and again when he left Germany for France.

Will he finally get his man?
