Brendan Rodgers has officially been unveiled as Celtic's new manager, and played down rumours of Steven Gerrard joining him in any capacity.
The former Liverpool and England captain is currently in America with MLS side LA Galaxy, but with his 36th birthday approaching, rumours have started circulating that Gerrard is keen to come back to the UK.
A return to Anfield would seem unlikely, given current manager Jurgen Klopp's fondness for high-octane football, and it's hard to imagine Gerrard playing for any other English club. So, some have put two and two together, and suggested Gerrard could perhaps assist Rodgers in Glasgow in a player/coach capacity, with bookmakers even making Celtic favourites to be Gerrard's next club.

But just a few minutes into his first press conference as Hoops boss, Rodgers appeared to distance himself for the stories:
To be fair, he's probably right - LA or Glasgow? Doesn't sound like too difficult a choice for us.
