Fenerbahce are hopeful of re-signing former player Nani on loan from Valencia.

After the Portuguese international's loan spell with Sporting CP game to an end in 2015, Fenerbahce took him off Manchester United's books permanently in a £4.25 million deal.

The 30-year old made a total of 47 appearances for the Turkish giants in 2015/16, scoring 12 goals. But he was then sold to Valencia for £7.2 million after a single season, signing a three-year contract with Los Che.

However, MARCA say that Fenerbahce want to bring him back to the Ülker Stadium on loan, where he would be reunited with his former Manchester United teammate Robin van Persie.

The Istanbul club have signed seven players so far, including Mathieu Valbuena and Spurs flop Roberto Soldado, but are keen on bolstering their squad with the temporary acquisition of Nani.

It may well be a tough assignment though, given that Nani has spoke of being happy at the Mestalla, coupled with the fact he is currently nursing a knee injury suffered in training last month.

Nani was granted extra leave by Valencia having turned out for Portugal in the Confederations Cup, but suffered a blow to his left knee that has put him on the sideline.

Here's how Fenerbahce fans reacted to news that their club are trying to bring Nani back to the club:

If given the opportunity, should Nani go back to Fenerbahce or remain at Valencia?
