Chelsea are scouting for a long-term successor to John Terry and it appears they've got their cross-hairs on Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson.
Despite the January transfer market in full-flow, it's being reported that Antonio Conte is set to launch a big offer to lure the English defender to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Boro are reluctant to offload one of their key players this month as they seek to avoid relegation, and, needless to say, the departure of Gibson would severely ruin their chances of staying in the top-flight.
Conte has identified the 23-year-old as an ideal replacement for the legendary Terry, and are lining up a £30 million bid after an initial deal was rejected which was deemed below their estimation.
Meanwhile, Terry endured a miserable return to the Chelsea starting XI. The 36-year-old saw red as he brought down Lee Angol during their FA Cup victory against Peterborough.
His future remains subject to intense transfer speculation. The Chelsea hero's contract expires at the end of the season, and has reportedly rejected the chance to join fellow Premier League side Bournemouth with a move to China and the States supposedly on the cards.

That's despite wanting to stay put, but his bit part role will likely see him depart the club in pursuit of first team football not to mention the shitload of money.
Ex-colleagues Oscar and John Obi Mikel have swapped the Premier League for the Far East movement, could Terry join the pair in the money-rich Chinese Super League?
