PSG willing to pay €140 million for Arsenal star as dream Kylian Mbappe replacement finally identified

PSG willing to pay €140 million for Arsenal star as dream Kylian Mbappe replacement finally identified

The search for Kylian Mbappe's replacement is well underway.

Paris Saint-Germain are willing to pay £140 million to sign Arsenal star Bukayo Saka as Kylian Mbappe's replacement, according to a new report.

The French giants are already preparing for life after Mbappe, who will leave the club at the end of his contract this summer.

Last month, he was seen at a meeting with French president Emmanuel Macron, although it was reported that any attempts to convince the France captain to stay at PSG were not on the agenda.

Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid on a free transfer, although there has been no confirmation from either party that a deal is forthcoming.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, the 24-year-old has regularly spoken to two former Real players - Los Blancos legend Sergio Ramos and his current PSG team-mate Achraf Hakimi - about his potential life in Madrid should he sign for the club.

PSG have begun to follow a transfer policy aimed at bringing in French talent, with Ousmane Dembele, Randal Kolo Muani and Nordi Mukiele all arriving at Parc des Princes last summer.

Other local young players such as Warren Zaire-Emery and Bradley Barcola are also playing key roles in the squad.

However, PSG are still on the lookout for European talents - and have settled on Arsenal star Saka as their key target to replace Mbappe.

That's according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, who claim that Saka is on top of their shortlist for the summer.

It is added that PSG are willing to launch a bid of at least €140 million - which would make the 22-year-old winger Arsenal's club-record sale.

The report also states that Arsenal would, naturally, be 'reluctant' to allow Saka to leave, especially as it means Mikel Arteta's side would have to source an effective replacement in the summer market.
