Fan's Thread Explains Why Thierry Henry Was Better Than Didier Drogba

A football fan's thread about why Thierry Henry is better than Didier Drogba has proved just how good the former Arsenal forward was in the Premier League.

When it comes to discussions about the greatest ever Premier League player Henry has to be in the conversation, and the Frenchman might even be number one.

There's also no doubt that Drogba was a true modern great as well and his time at Chelsea is remembered for him coming up trumps in the big games and scoring the all important goal in their Champions League victory in 2012.

However the pair are still miles apart when it comes to who is the greatest in the current era and one fan's viral thread on Twitter has shown just how good Henry was, compared to the Ivorian.

One fan summed up the feelings of many replying, "Great thread but this shouldn't need that much explanation. Thierry Henry is better because he's Thierry Henry... The greatest premier league striker of all time. His name is enough explanation."

Another argued that the 'facts' were perhaps a little misleading, though did still accept the former Barcelona forward was the better player, saying, "Stats don't show how good a player Drogba was. Chelsea's whole system depended on him, this can't be quantified by assists and goals and can only be judged by watching him play. They have different playing styles too. Having said this, if you watched both, Henry is still better."

And of course 'Football Twitter' wouldn't be the kind of place we all know and love without someone pointing to a thread from two years ago that served to prove it was actually Drogba who was better.
