YouTuber IShowSpeed releases his own World Cup song and it's a banger

YouTube and internet sensation IShowSpeed has released his own official World Cup song for the Qatar tournament.

Speed has built his reputation with his variety of gaming and entertainment livestreams and totals a whopping 12.6m subscribers on YouTube.

His latest release was posted on his YT channel yesterday and has received over 3.9m views in 18 hours so far.

Titled 'World Cup' the rap song sees Speed rep his idol's international jersey - as he's seen sporting Cristiano Ronaldo's Portuguese shirt for the majority of the video.

In typical Speed fashion, he spends the last part of the song hyping up a Lionel Messi versus Cristiano Ronaldo final, which is a possibility as Argentina and Portugal could meet in the final.

The song has been received fairly well given it's number of views, but there's also a petition online to make it the official song of the tournament.

An official WC song was released by American rapper Lil Baby titled 'The World Is Yours To Take' which was the official song from Budweiser, but hasn't exactly been a success with football fans.

Speed, real name Darren Watkins Jr, has seen his song beat Lil Baby's total views during the first three hours of his video's release online.

One comment under Speed's video read: 'no swearing, no drugs, no naked women, just 100% real talent.'

Another comment read: 'No one expected an American to be carrying the whole FIFA World Cup hype and pride. Well done Speed, you have the Football world's respect.'

Whilst most of his comments are positive, Lil Baby may want to look away from the comments under his video.

One fan commented: 'Have lil baby even watched a football match?

As another slammed the song: 'You put this on at a party and it goes to sleep, that tells you it cant be a world cup song'

Of course, both songs pale in comparison to the classics we were given in 2010.

And no, we're not talking about the infamous 'Shout for England' from Dizzee Rascal that also featured James Cordon.

The common consensus from fans is that Shakira's 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)' and K'naan's 'Wavin' Flag' are two of the best WC songs to have ever been released.

Both of those songs incorporate all the feelings that a World Cup is supposed to bring out in the average football fan, as well as being extremely catchy songs on their own.

Where once we had Shakira and K'naan, now we have Lil Baby and Speed.
