Cristiano Ronaldo has finally confirmed he will be staying at Al Nassr after much speculation about his future and he stands to add to his record-breaking pay packet in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo, who was full of emotion after winning the Nations League with Portugal, made the game-changing transfer to the Middle East on 1 January 2023 - penning a two-and-a-half year deal after his second stint with Manchester United came to an end after a mutual contract termination.

The switch came as a major surprise and put the world on notice, leading to a slew of other high-profile players making the move.

The contract Ronaldo signed saw him become the highest-paid player in world football by some distance - reportedly earning £177 million per year in Riyadh.

Taking the captaincy at the very start of his tenure, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has continued his rich vein of goalscoring form - finding the net 99 times in 11 games for Al Nassr to take his incredible club tally to 800.

How much has Cristiano Ronaldo earned at Al Nassr?

Ronaldo, collecting around £3,403,846 per week, has made a fortune since signing for Al Nassr.

In his first two years, Ronaldo received £354 million and in 2025 has added just short of £68 million. That takes his total Al Nassr earnings to around £422 million - separate to his sizeable income from a number of endorsements and sponsorships.

Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr is due to expire at the end of the month and the 40-year-old hinted at an exit with a cryptic Instagram post where he said "this chapter is over" following a defeat in the final game of the season.

His future dominated headlines and he was heavily linked with an unprecedented deal which would see him appear at the Club World Cup tournament in the United States.

Al Hilal, the only Saudi side in the competition, presented an offer along with an unnamed Brazilian team and Ronaldo recently admitted that "some teams reached out to me" but confirmed he would not be participating.

What has Ronaldo said about his future?

On Sunday, after captaining Portugal to a third trophy when they beat Spain on penalties after a 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena, Ronaldo clarified his situation.

Speaking in the mixed zone, Ronaldo, who scored in the win, said: "Future? Nothing will change. Al Nassr? Yes."

Ronaldo has been in negotiations with Al Nassr over a new contract and though it was claimed talks slowed down, his fresh comments appear to indicate he will continue at Al Awwal Park and look to finally win silverware in Saudi.

It has been reported that the deal on the table would see Ronaldo take a slight pay cut, earning £10 million less than his current salary.
