Cristiano Ronaldo has officially lost his aura after being trolled by Al Ittihad

Cristiano Ronaldo was savagely mocked by Al Ittihad on social media following Al Nassr's crushing 1-0 defeat on Thursday.

Al Ittihad moved above Al Nassr to the top of the Saudi Pro League following a big win over their rivals.

Romarinho scored the only goal of the game ten minutes from time to secure three points over Ronaldo's team, who find themselves second in the league.

And Al Ittihad rubbed salt into the superstar forward's wounds by taunting him on their official Twitter account.

They uploaded a video of the 38-year-old being taken out during the match, accompanied with the ruthless caption: "Where is Ronaldo?"

Needless to say, the clip shared by the Saudi Pro League leaders sent social media wild.

One Twitter user wrote: "Thought he had an aura like no other turns out to be no one is even afraid of him."

A second tweeted: "My man's getting violated by Saudi clubs now."

A Ronaldo fan hit back: "He’s worth more than your club small pal."

A fourth said: "This is a new low."

Another argued: "This tweet is actually embarrassing."

Ronaldo was unable to get going against Al Ittihad as he failed to influence the match. His woeful free-kick summed up his showing on Thursday.

He couldn't hide his frustrations after the match as he made his feelings known by kicking a number of water bottles on the touchline before storming down the tunnel.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner couldn't add to his goal tally for his new club, having scored eight goals in all competitions since arriving in January.

Ronaldo will return to action next Tuesday when Al Nassr face Abha in the quarter-finals of the King Cup of Champions.
