Graeme Souness' Obsession Continues As He Criticises Paul Pogba Again

The Sky Sports pundit does not like the Manchester United midfielder despite his latest Champions League performance.

Graeme Souness really really doesn't like Paul Pogba. There barely goes a couple of days without the Sky Sports pundit taking shots at the Manchester United midfielder and he's at it again, despite recent improved performances.

I like to imagine Graeme Souness in his house, rambling to his wife, and pointing at a pin board with numerous pictures of Paul Pogba on and clip outs from newspaper articles about the Frenchman, "I want to talk about the pass percentage, no one's talking about the pass percentage."

The Sky Sports pundit, and former Liverpool player, loves nothing less than criticising Pogba. Sure the former Juventus man hasn't always lived up to his billing since his move back to Old Trafford two summers ago but Souness goes beyond anything else.

This season the 25 year old has had a good start to the season, scoring four goals, and being dominant for the Red Devils in midfield.

On Wednesday night the World Cup winner popped up with two goals and an assist as United opened their Champions League campaign with a win over Young Boys.

Despite the man of the match performance Souness couldn't help himself and he's once again criticised Pogba. Writing for his Paddy Power blog the Scotsman said:

"With Pogba, it's all about him and his game. He's not going to stop me, he lets you play, and that's one of the criticisms. Having the ball is only half of the game. A big part of being a top player, as he aspires to be, is you have to stop the guy you're up against.

"You can't pick and choose when you want to be bang at it.

"I'm a bit like I'd imagine Mourinho is, where you see someone who's got so much talent, but not making the most of it.

"There's a player in there, but I don't think he's getting the most out of himself.

"I think he has to change. The guy who works with him every day is not seeing eye-to-eye with him, so he's happy with him. I imagine he'd see it exactly the same way that I would: you've got a young man who's got the potential to be the very best of his type in the game, but right now it's not happening for him.

"With him, he needs to sit down and look at himself if he wants to get where he wants to be."

A lot of Souness' issue seems to be about the amount of effort that Pogba puts in. It's not necessarily on the pitch where the former Rangers manager has an issue though.

The 65 year old hasn't been happy with Pogba's social media activity and incistance on getting a haircut, heaven forbid.

To further annoy United fans Souness also said he'd rather play alongside James Milner in midfield, saying, "That's easy. It isn't even a question. Milner, every day of the week. He's a proper player. Who would I rather play against? Paul Pogba. I don't want to play against Milner."

Souness won't be happy until Pogba's won the World Cup, Champions League, Premier League and X-Factor on the same day.
