Rio Ferdinand perfectly summed up the talents of Kylian Mbappe following his performance for France against England.

The AS Monaco sensation has enjoyed a meteoric rise to super stardom after producing heroics last season, domestically and in the Champions League.

He helped guide Monaco to the semi-finals knocking out Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund in the process, while breaking record after record.

Mbappe's goals have drawn comparison to legendary Arsenal striker Thierry Henry as his name continues to circulate around the transfer rumour mills.

He continues to be heavily linked with a move away from France with the likes of Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United, to name but a few, reportedly eyeing him up.

Following his impressive form, Mbappe has been called up to the national team at the tender age of 18 and he continues to showcase his undeniable potential.

And his age was subject to a Tweet from Ferdinand who basically said what the whole footballing community are thinking about him.

Needless to say, it got everyone talking. Here are a few reactions:

What a player. This kid is destined for greatness.

As for the actual game, France beat England 3-2 in a thrilling international friendly which also saw Real Madrid's Raphael Varane get sent off.

Despite playing the majority of the second half with just 10 men, France came from behind to snatch a win courtesy of another budding star; Ousmane Dembele.

Stand in skipper Harry Kane opened the scoring before Samuel Umtiti leveled. Another Monaco standout Djibril Sidibe then gave France the lead. Kane equalised from the spot but Dembele won it for France.

The Borussia Dortmund ace, who is attracting plenty of interest from Barcelona, finished off a brilliant move which included plays from Paul Pogba and Mbappe.

Dembele and Mbappe showed a glimpse of France's future and it looks terrifying.
