Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona is happening, and in analysing the British record transfer, Phil Thompson has been talking a load of nonsense.
Barca's desperation to get Coutinho, and Coutinho's desire to move to the Camp Nou, hasn't exactly been a secret.
The Blaugrana tried to get him in the summer, it didn't quite happen, but they have now agreed a £142 million move for the former Inter Milan man to join this January.
And Thompson, who played for and managed his beloved Liverpool, came across as deluded when discussing the deal on Sky Sports - essentially saying it's a step backwards for Coutinho.
