James Milner Wins Liverpool’s Pre Season Fitness Test Again, Aged 33

James Milner Wins Liverpool’s Pre Season Fitness Test Again, Aged 33

James Milner might turn 34 in January but the Liverpool midfielder has once again come first in the club's pre season fitness tests.

Since joining the club on a free transfer from Manchester City in 2015, the former Leeds United youth player has proved his doubters wrong throughout his time at Anfield.

He played a huge role in the club's Premier League title run last season, and continued his run of form in their Champions League winning campaign.

Milner is known for his no nonsense style of approach but perhaps the biggest feature to his game is his endurance and overall fitness.

Jurgen Klopp has called upon the midfielder to provide both offensively and defensively in recent months and there's no doubt he will play a big part in the 2019/20 season

So the Liverpool boss will be delighted that Milner came out on top in the club's pre-season fitness tests.

Coming up against the likes of Joe Gomez, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Fabinho, he cruised to the win.

Fans were not only delighted to see Milner in tip top shape ahead of the new campaign but Joe Gomez's physcial condition was another highlight after he struggled with injuries last season.

"We should probably just blow our entire transfer budget on developing a potion that will enable Milner to play for another 20 years."

Now there is a shout.

Do you think Liverpool can lift the Premier League next season?
