AS Roma Defender Chris Smalling Produces Man Of The Match Performance Vs. Leece

Chris Smalling gave a Man of the Match performance for his new club on Sunday afternoon as AS Roma picked up all three points against Leece.
The 29-year-old defender, who joined the Serie A side in August for a reported fee of £2.7 million, won all of his aerial duels and tackles against Fabio Liverani's side earlier.
He also recorded the most blocks (2), joint most interceptions (2) and joint most shots taken (2) in the fixture.
Not to mention the most ball recoveries (10) and most headed clearances (3) as Roma climbed to fifth in the league.
It was far from a routine victory for Paulo Fonseca's side but former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko secured the win when he scored a 56th minute winner.
The Italian giants recovered well from a shock 2-0 defeat to Atlanta on Wednesday as Smalling received plenty of praise on social media.
He was far from a fan favourite at Old Trafford before moving to Serie A but he certainly proved his doubters wrong on Sunday afternoon.
Would any Manchester United fans take him back after your poor start to the campaign?
