Spain beat Argentina 6-1 (!!) last night in an international 'friendly' ahead of the World Cup.
But there was nothing friendly about the game.
The international break mustered up some high-profile encounters which included Spain and Argentina playing Germany and Italy, respectively, before facing off against each other.

And it was the Spaniards who came away victorious about thrashing the visitors 6-1.
Isco bagged a hat-trick while Iago Aspas, Diego Costa and Thiago Alcantara also got on the score-sheet, with Manchester City's Nicolas Otamendi scoring for Argentina.
Though the fixture will be remembered for the fiery, and naughty, exchanges, not to mention English referee Anthony Taylor blowing before the 90 minute mark after the game got out of control.
Taylor also bottled sending off an Argentina player after he put his yellow card away despite a terrible challenge.

He failed to control the game so, naturally, his officiating display got plenty of people talking on Twitter. Here's some reaction:
Will the Premier League referee be going to Russia in the summer?
