Prince William hilariously poked fun at a young Manchester United fan as he greeted people to see the Queen's coffin.

Thousands of people have been queueing to see the Queen lie in state in Westminster Hall.

Prince William, who's an avid Aston Villa, addressed the crowds of people and ruthlessly took aim at a Man United supporter.

"What football team do you support?" The child asked.

After revealing Villa as his team and finding out the child was a Man United fan, he jokingly said: "Ah, we can't all be perfect."

Someone from the crowd then shouted: "Up the Villa," which Prince William acknowledged.

The 40-year-old will be pleased with Villa's result on Friday as they beat Southampton 1-0.

And the Midlands club paid a touching tribute to the Queen ahead of kick-off.

The lights inside Villa Park dimmed down as fans and players paid their respects.

A minute's silence was observed followed by an applause, with 'God Save the King' then being sung in an incredible moment.

Villa earned a hard-fought point against Manchester City to snap their losing streak in the league.

Their victory over the Saints moves them to 14th in the table ahead of resuming their campaign against Leeds United.
