Fan highlights key difference between Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta, it speaks volumes

Liverpool defeated Arsenal 2-0 on Sunday.

Fans believe they've figured out the difference between Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta following Liverpool's 2-0 win over Arsenal.

A Jacub Kiwior own goal and Luis Diaz's effort in added time were enough to seal passage to the FA Cup fourth round.

Arsenal had their chances, registering a whopping 18 shots but only getting five on target.

It means the Gunners have scored one goal from their last 60 shots. Arteta knows his side isn't clinical at the moment and it's starting to show on the touchline.

Bukayo Saka hooked a close-range effort over the bar and Arteta put his head in his hands and looked to the sky.

The Spaniard cuts an emotional figure during games and has already received four bookings and served a touchline ban this season.

It's a stark contrast to Klopp, who saw Aaron Ramsdale palm away Luis Diaz's low drive.

Rather than react negatively, he clapped his player in an attempt to keep momentum going.

@CoachedbyKlopp on X, formerly known as Twitter, posted the clips side by side with the caption: "There’s a distinction between a good manager and a good coach.

"Look at the difference in reactions between Klopp and Arteta when a player misses a chance.

"While both (Coach/Manager) focus on results, growth and development is what a manager lacks.

"Arteta wants to shape a culture, build a young team and asks for a supportive atmosphere but can’t nurture individual growth. Impossible. Mikel forgot to take notes from Klopp after Pep [Guardiola]."

Arsenal were missing Gabriel Jesus through a knee injury, although he's only scored seven goals in all competitions this term.

Arteta was asked about adding to his frontline in his post-match press conference and admitted it's unlikely this month.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who will return later this month after serving a ban for breaching the FA's rules on betting.

"I want to focus on the players we have," Arteta stressed. "We know what we need to do with what we are generating and when we can do something very different.

“We didn’t capitalise, again, with everything we generated and created, I think we deserved much more, to win the game.

"I think we were better than them and again we must improve to win more games because it’s a shame.

"I’m really sorry for the boys because the way they tried, the courage they showed, and the way they played against a team that’s in the best form in Europe, they deserve huge credit."
