Paul Pogba Angrily Responds To Claims He Snubbed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer After Liverpool Loss

Paul Pogba has taken to Twitter to slam claims made in the wake of the 5-0 loss to Liverpool.

Paul Pogba has angrily responded to claims he "snubbed" Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following the 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool on Sunday.

Pogba, brought on as a half-time substitute at 4-0, was sent off for a horrific challenge on Naby Keita just 15 minutes after entering the fray.

The Liverpool midfielder had to leave the pitch on a stretcher as a result of the tackle.

Pogba was also culpable for the fifth goal when he was easily dispossessed in midfield, leading to Jordan Henderson playing through an exquisite pass to Mo Salah to seal his hat-trick.

Following the humiliation, The Sun reported that Pogba apologised to his teammates but did not communicate with Solskjaer.

It was also said that talks over a contract had been put on hold but the Frenchman has furiously denied the reports, branding the story "fake news" and "big lies to make headlines".

He then followed up the tweet with a lengthy post on Instagram, writing: "Tabloid press once again wants to create polemic with 100 per cent fake news. Big lies to make headlines.

"Journalists who use my name to be seen when there is nothing to see. The only reason I address this b.s is out of respect to my coach, club and fans to send you a clear message: the less you read these people the better you are, they have no shame and will say say just anything with no basis at all."

Pogba's contract at United expires in June 2022 and when asked about his future, agent Mino Raiola did not provide information.

"You would have to ask Manchester United about it," he told The Times.

"At this moment everything is calm. There is no update."
