Carlos Carvalhal not only masterminded a stunning victory against Arsenal in the Premier League, but also got his hands on Petr Cech's shirt.

And the Swansea City boss has revealed the reason behind wanting his top.

The Portuguese gaffer has now guided his side to back-to-back league victories against Liverpool and Arsenal. Swansea beat Jurgen Klopp's side just after they had inflicted Manchester City with their first league defeat.

And they continue to climb out of the relegation zone following the 3-1 victory over Arsenal.

That's despite going behind. Nacho Monreal bagged the opening goal of the game, though the hosts leveled proceedings almost immediately through Sam Clucas.

Jordan Ayew then capitalised on some shocking keeping from Cech, pouncing on his mistake to put his side ahead.

Clucas then added his sides third late on. And following the final whistle, Carvalhal got Cech's shirt requested by his son.

"I must tell you that my son, he is 20 years old, and he is a big football fan," he told Wales Online.

Carvalhal added: "He has never asked me for a shirt of a player before, but for this game he ask if I could try and get a shirt of Petr Cech.

"I said that I do not know Petr so it will be difficult.

"But he is a great goalkeeper and a good man and he very kindly gave me his shirt and I have got it.

Meanwhile, after the game, Cech addressed his error by posting the following message on social media:

"Although mistakes are part of the game I always expect 100 % from myself and I'm not happy with the one I made today ... back to work tomorrow !"

Arsenal will be hoping to bounce back when they host Everton in the league this Saturday. Then, the weekend after next, Wenger takes his charges to Wembley to face cross-town rivals Spurs.
