West Brom Consider Move To Bring Roy Hodgson Back

Because he did so well in his last job!

Roy Hodgson's England career ended with the most embarrassing of defeats and the former Liverpool boss at a loss to understand why he had to be in a press conference explaining himself. But all of that hasn't put his old club off having him back.

The 69 year old has remained in the shadows since leaving the national team at the end of the Euros, when his contract was up and there was no way he was getting a new one after the tournament, but he has yet to make a decision on his future.

West Brom meanwhile remain concerned that current boss Tony Pulis could leave the club. The Welshman is reportedly unhappy over the transfer business that the Midlands club did over the summer and whilst they don't currently think he'll leave they are making plans in case and have sounded out Hodgson over a possible return.

After his disastrous spell at Anfield the former Blackburn Rovers boss took over at the Hawthorns in 2011 and finished 10th in the Premier League in his one full season at the club, their highest ever Premier League finish.

According to Bleacher Report correspondent Dean Jones the former England boss is still considering retirement:

Hodgson was reportedly offered a managerial job in China just days after the Euro embarrassment but wanted some time away from the game, who can blame him, so went on holiday and declined the offer.
