Arsene Wenger compared referees to lions in the zoo as he blamed them for Arsenal's loss to Manchester City.
The Gunners manager spoke after his side allowed City to come back from 1-0 down to win their English Premier League clash 2-1 at the Etihad. It would have been particularly disappointing for Wenger and the Arsenal supporters given his players failed to put up any fight in the second half.
But he chose to focus some of his post-match comments on referee Martin Atkinson and his officiating team. Leroy Sane's first goal for City could have been ruled out for offside, with the German winger appearing to be a just slightly ahead of the Arsenal defence.
While Raheem Sterling's winner could have been chopped off had the referees deemed David Silva in an offside position and interfering with Petr Cech's view of the ball.

Wenger's referees and lions comparison made us laugh:
The result sees City close the gap on league leaders Chelsea to seven points, while Arsenal now sit nine points off the pace in fourth. It must feel familiar being an Arsenal fan right now.
