Two Premier League clubs are keen on ending Morgan Schneiderlin's torrid time at Manchester United, according to John Percy of The Telegraph.

Jose Mourinho does not see Schneiderlin as a regular starter, evidenced in the fact that he has made just three starts in all competitions this season. He has been pushed even further down the pecking order now than Bastian Schweinsteiger has been allowed to train with the first-team, with Schweinsteiger taking to the pitch as a substitute in the EFL Cup win over West Ham, instead of Schneiderlin.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman wants to reunite with the player who served him well at Southampton, while West Brom, now backed with investment from Chinese businessman Guochuan Lai, are also interested.

Both clubs are in need of a strong defensive midfield player and Schneiderlin fits the ball. Everton have shown interest in bringing Steven N'Zonzi back to the Premier League but have been put off by the hefty price tag they have been quoted - meaning his France national team colleague Schneiderlin is the priority.

West Brom tried to sign Sporting's William Carvalho in the summer and they will look to use the funds they had available for that deal on Schneiderlin, who could cost United £27 million if add-ons come into play.

Reports suggest that the two clubs will have to fork out around £20 million to land the 27-year old.
