Real Madrid To Unveil €50 Million Signing On Wednesday

Real Madrid have already secured four new players this summer and the club are expected to unveil another signing on Wednesday.

So far, Real Madrid have spent over €200 million (£178 million) this transfer window to sign Eder Militao, Rodrygo, Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard.

The Spanish giants recently confirmed the signing of Hazard from Chelsea, and they're set to announce another signing in the coming days.

According to AS, Ferland Mendy is expected to be unveiled as a Real Madrid player on June 12.

A fee in the region of €50 has been agreed with Lyon for the talented left-back.

The Frenchman is currently on international duty with the player set to undergo a medical.

The 24-year-old has made 79 appearances for Lyon since moving from Le Havre in 2017.

He's been dubbed as the 'Kylian Mbappe of left-backs' following his breakout season this past campaign.

"He's the Kylian Mbappe of the left-back role," said agent Yvan Le Mee."Contrary to popular belief, the left-back position is the most requested after that of a striker because they're very difficult to find.

"Mendy is good offensively and defensively, which is very rare. Balanced guys, who are exciting going forward and very strong at the back, are very rare. At his age, there's no-one better.

"Apart from Andy Robertson, who won't move from Liverpool, there's no such talented player in that role available, especially as Lucas Hernandez has a different profile."

Meanwhile, Real Madrid remain strongly linked with more additions. From Manchester United's Paul Pogba to Tottenham's Christian Eriksen.

Zinedine Zidane means business. Quite literally.
