Losing your club captain to a fierce rival is as gutting an experience as you can experience in football, but Borussia Dortmund have moved on from the departure of Mats Hummels to Bayern Munich by signing one of Europe's hottest young properties.
Ousmane Dembele was on the wanted lists of clubs across Europe after an impressive debut season in the Rennes that saw the 18-year-old forward hit 12 goals in 24 Ligue Un appearances. However, rather than move to Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool or one of the Manchester clubs, Dembele has decided that a move to the Westfalenstadion would be more beneficial for his career.
Liverpool fans will perhaps be most gutted at the news after they were so strongly linked with the teenager, who has represented France at U17,18,19 and 21 level. It is believed that Dortmund kept track of Dembele's progress for 18 months, which would explain Liverpool's intense interest, as the striker was already on Jurgen Klopp's radar before the German coach moved to Anfield, last year.

Of course, a couple of people were slightly more cynical about the transfer..
