The 10 Best Right-Backs In World Football Right Now Have Been Ranked
Trent Alexander-Arnold has beaten fellow Premier League stars Kyle Walker and Aaron Wan-Bissaka to be crowned the best right-back in the world.
The 21-year-old Liverpool star came through the Reds' youth academy and broke into the first team back in 2016.
And Trent has now become an integral part of Jurgen Klopp's squad and remained in excellent form before the Premier League was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
FourFourTwo placed the English full-back at the top of its rankings, saying he is one of "Europe's most consistently excellent performers."
Trent has registered 12 assists in the Premier League this season, which is only bettered by the impressive haul from Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne.
"There's a great deal of talk about England's enviable youth pool, with players such as Jadon Sancho and Phil Foden expected to light up major tournaments in years to come, Trent might just be the best of the lot," FourFourTwo explained.
Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich finished behind Trent, but the publication argued he "could easily be the best right-back in the world if he wasn't so focused on becoming the world's best defensive midfielder."
According to FourFourTwo, the 25-year-old German has followed in his "idol Philipp Lahm's footsteps" by playing in two different positions for Bayern Munich.
However, that hasn't stopped the highly-rated Kimmich from being as "valuable to club and country as the legendary Lahm."
Wan-Bissaka, who was signed by Manchester United for £50m last summer, has made an instant impact at Old Trafford and finished third in the rankings.
