Tickets for Liverpool's final day clash with Wolves are on sale for extortionate prices on a resale website.

The game at Anfield on May 12, the last day of the Premier League season, could be the day Reds' fans see their side lift the league title for the first time in 29 years if Jurgen Klopp's side do what they have to do on the pitch.

And while there's still a long way to go, with champions Manchester City four points behind after 23 games played, some tickets for the visit of Wolves are commanding crazy fees.

Even though we're months away from the fixture, Madrid based website livefootballtickets.com have 212 tickets available in different stands and blocks in Anfield - the cheapest of which cost £1,100 - and the most expensive being a pair of tickets in lower tier block KK which are selling for a eye-watering £5,950 each.

There's also a VIP hospitality package advertised on the site, though anyone wanting a four-course meal and complimentary drinks will have to cough up just short of £5,000.

It should be noted that Liverpool do not have any control on the prices of their matchday tickets on resale sites. As per the Daily Mail, tickets for Liverpool home games cost between £37 to £59 for adults but clearly touts and tickets agencies are seeing an opportunity to make some serious cash on this potentially massive occasion ahead of time.

Of course Liverpool fans would give an arm or a leg to witness their team lift the Premier League title if they do the business but when you consider the most expensive season ticket at Anfield is £869 for an adult, it's utterly absurd that someone could end up paying more than six times amount.
