This pass sums up Romelu Lukaku's performance against Juventus in the Champions League.

Lukaku spearheaded Manchester United's attack last night but failed to influence the European tie.

He's been struggling for form thus far and he continued his goal drought on Tuesday night, firing blank versus the reigning Italian champions.

It's clear to see the Belgium striker is playing with little confidence, and moments like this won't help him rediscover the aforementioned mental trait.

In the first-half, with seven minutes on the clock, Lukaku attempted a cross-field pass however his effort went straight to a Juventus player.

From being on the attack to defending a counter-attack.

Jose Mourinho is backing Lukaku to find the back of the net whilst whinging about his lack of options in the attacking third.

"No criticism at all," he said after the 1-0 defeat. "But I have to agree his moment is not sweet."

Mourinho added: "A complete understanding that the player is a fantastic professional that wants to give everything.

"Not just with the goals he is not scoring but also in his confidence, in his movement, his touch. He is not linking the game well with the team.

"But he is our striker and he a is a good striker we believe in. Could I play Rashford there? But then I don't have a winger as in this moment we have a difficult situation.

"Romelu is a hard-working guy and a good professional. One day the goals will arrive and the confidence will be back."

The 25-year-old has only bagged four goals in all competitions this season.

He'll be looking to get on the score-sheet on Sunday when United face his former side, Everton.
