Arsenal Fans Lose Their Minds After Being Linked With Former Manchester United Player

Spare a thought for Arsenal fans. While their nearest rivals employ the world's best managers and spend fortunes on recruiting top class reinforcements for the coming season, the Gunners are potentially facing another season of frustration under Arsene Wenger, who is now set to infuriate fans further with a £15m bid for Jonny Evans.

The West Brom man, despite heavy criticism during much of his spell at Manchester United, is a decent, capable Premier League defender but is also hardly the type of signing that will set pulses racing. Being deemed surplus to requirements for one of the worst Manchester United teams in recent history isn't exactly a glowing testimony, especially when Wenger is in desperate need of a top class centre half to partner Laurent Koscielny.

However, The Mail On Sunday, The Sunday Mirror and The Sunday Sun are all reporting the news today, despite previous rumours linking the North London club with a £25m bid for Valencia's Shkodran Mustafi.

Needless to say, the news of the potential bid has triggered a series of furious reactions akin to the ones of WCW fans when Hulk Hogan turned on the company to join the NWO in the Summer of '96.
