Only AC Milan wonderkid Gianluigi Donnarumma has more votes than Celtic striker Moussa Dembele in a poll for Europe's Golden Boy award.

The Hoops youngster was last week confirmed among the 40-man shortlist for the 2016 Golden Boy gong. The list includes some of the best talent under 21 to be playing in one of Europe's top ties so it was already a big achievement for Dembele to make it.

But has anyone given him a chance of winning - even after his scintillating start to life at Celtic this season? Probably not.

Manchester United wonderkid Marcus Rashford is on the list alongside Bayern Munich midfielder, and Euro 2016 winner, Renato Sanches, Borussia Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele, Arsenal talent Alex Iwobi, new Real Madrid striker Marco Asensio and many others.

Yet it's only 17-year-old Milan goalie Donnarumma who has received more votes than Dembele. Almost 29,000 votes have been cast on Italian website tuttosport.com - who drive the award - and Donnarumma is currently in the lead with 2,546 votes (9% of the total).

Dembele is in second with 2,363 votes (8%) while Rashford sits in third with 2204 votes (also 8%).

It's not clear when the voting will end on tuttosport.com, but it should be subject to change when top journalists from around Europe have their say on who deserves to win.
